                  Monumental stone building with a tall, slender bell tower - one of the best architectural city. The temple was built in 1865 on Kvashentsah (former village, now - an area), at the crossroads of Kyiv and Ivanovo. The first wooden church on this site laid in 1708 Hetman Mazepa, so it got its name, surviving in spite of the fact that Mazepa was anathema of the Russian Church. Stone temple was built after a major fire that destroyed a con. XVIII century. All the churches of the city, except for Barbara. Now restored to its original form.
