On January 23, 1960, the literary and memorial museum of A.P. Dovzhenko was opened, which is located on one of the quiet streets of Sosnitsa, on a peasant yard with outbuildings and an old house under a thatched roof, in which Alexander Petrovich Dovzhenko was born on September 10, 1894. The manor has been restored in the form described in the artist's biographical story "The Enchanted Desna". The house has preserved the traditional interior with a stove, cradle, floor and a rail on which festive clothes are hung. Here are collected personal belongings of the Dovzhenko family: various dishes, clothes, lavishly decorated with embroidery, an old spinning wheel and much more. In a separate room, built in 1964, there is a literary and artistic exhibition. There is a room dedicated to the war period of the writer's creative work and a cinema hall where you can watch Dovzhenko's famous film "Earth". In August 1965, a granite bust of A. Dovzhenko was installed in the courtyard. Later, a park composition "Young Sasha" was installed near the house. In this form, the museum still receives guests.
