Basovskoe the site of ancient settlement belongs to the scythian dismembering sites of ancient settlement of difficult type. Includes three capes, which overpeer above a valley, adjoining to the plateau. Both-side from three capes are deep ravines which fall from the right side of s r. Khmelevku is a right influx Suly. Every cape on a perimeter is surrounded an earthen billow and dry ditch. From a plateau every cape becomes separated from the double lines of billows. An east cape which is named small «Town» belongs to the sites of ancient settlement of classic dismembering linear type, as part transversal billows on three parts. All defensive complex from a floor side protects a semicircular earthen billow the ends of which abut against the slopes of lateral ravines.
