The exposition of the museum, which occupies more than a thousand square meters, consists of two sections: "Natural ecosystems of the Carpathians"; "History of nature management in the Ukrainian Carpathians". The first section provides information on the history of the formation of the Carpathian Mountains, their geology, geomorphology, the main types of landscapes, flora and fauna, as well as the mountains as a kind of natural phenomena. This section is supplemented by an aquaterrarium complex, which contains an active model of a mountain watercourse with aquatic and near-water inhabitants. The second part of the exposition reveals the uniqueness and originality of traditional farming: animal husbandry, agriculture, forestry, which are an integral part of the cultural heritage of Ukrainian mountaineers. For a more vivid depiction of the museum's theme, dioramas, models, mock-ups, panels, complex stands and panoramas are created, which are filled with natural exhibits and artifacts. Among them are rich geological, paleontological, zoological and archaeological collections, elements of folk life and culture, dioramas "Polonynske farm", "Bokorashi", "Karst caves", "Life of primitive man", "Hutsul wedding", "Beech virgin forests", " Interior of a Hutsul house "," Winter Carpathians "and others.
