Fortress was based on the Russian side of the river Samara. The main materials for building and land were the tree: a rather deep and wide moat (6 x 3 m), four-meter wall and fence with 17 cannon peals - positions. Inside the rectangular fort was built a wooden church in the name of the Holy Virgin. The perimeter of the fort was nearly 1300 m and an area of more than 10 hectares.
