Dnieper-Oril's'ke Nature Reserve created the Council of Ministers of USSR of September 15, 1990 № 262 on the basis of general zoology and ornithological reserves "Taromske ledge" and "Obukhivski smooth." The reserve represents the landscape and biodiversity of the valley of the Dnieper and its tributaries flood - by Orel and their areas. The total area of ​​3766.2 hectares of the reserve.
