Park established by the President of Ukraine of 27 June 1996 for the conservation, restoration and rational use of natural landscapes skirts with unique historical and cultural complexes, which have high environmental, aesthetic, scientific, recreational and environmental protection value. The total area of ​​the park - 261 316 hectares, this area of ​​3081.5 hectares of the park provided for permanent use. It is located within Gorodotsky, Kamenetz-Podolsk and Chemerovets'kyi regions of Khmelnitsky region. With an area of ​​national park "Podolski Tovtry" is the largest in Europe.
