Lake is a reservoir of natural origin with the floating peat islands and rare wetland plants. Located in the headwaters of one of the sources of the river Sovytsia- Stavchanska, covers an area of ​​20.4 hectares and stretches nearly a kilometer from east to west and has a width of 100 to 300 meters. The depth of the lake at the top is 1 - 2 meters at the bottom - 3 - 4 meters, and in the karst depressions depth is 5 - 6 meters. Fundamental value and exoticism are floating peat islands of 0.1 - 1.5 hectares with a submarine pillow and a half - two meters thick and the trees - alders and willows, up to 6 meters.
