Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport (UkrDAZT) established at the Kharkiv Institute of Railway Engineers, founded in September 1930. Today, a modern higher educational institution of IV level of accreditation, which provides training for railway transport of Ukraine for education and skill levels: bachelor, specialist, master. It enrolled about 13,000 students and employs over 1.5 thousand teachers and co-workers. The teaching staff is 479 people., Including 38 professors, 217 associate professors, has 10 full members and 12 corresponding members of branch academies of Ukraine. The Academy has a membership of 6 faculties with internal and external training, 33 department, including 18 graduating with branches in enterprises and the Correspondence School in m.Krasnyy Lyman, Donetsk region. The educational process at the Academy staff are qualified teaching staff: 78% of teachers have scientific degrees and academic titles, including 12% of doctors, professors. Of the 33 departments headed UkrDAZT 26 doctors and professors. Among the teaching staff - seven winners of State prizes, six distinguished scientists and Engineering, 28 academicians and corresponding members of branch academies of Ukraine and foreign countries, 24 have a sign "Excellence in Education of Ukraine", over 70 employees with honorary railroad.
