Name: Rozhniativ village Status: Administrative center of the Rozhnyativ village community, Kalush district, Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine. Location: Located on the river of Oak in 54 kilometres to the west of Ivano-Frankivsk Population: 3800 thousand habitants Area: 19.23 apt. km Reservoirs: River Duba , Rozhniativ lake Date of founding : 12 c. Historical certificate: Known with XII of century as Old Village(this toponym was saved after part of settlement to present time). To XV of century take founding of the first defensive castle. Some time a city was in property of family of Benoe, and in 1735 passed to possession of count sort of Skarbeks. In 1785 officially got the Magdeburg Law. At this time large Jewish community settled here, that affected architecture. To the middle of XIX of century became a considerable economic center Бойковщины. In 1950th in a neighborhood of settlement found out the deposit of oil, that assisted development of industry. Sights: Skarbeks castle, museum "Boikovshchyna".
