The pearl of Podillya, Balta is called a small town with a long history. The Baltic Museum of Local Lore, despite its modest appearance, has a large and rich collection. Here is kept a golden Scythian vase weighing 636, in the museum you can see the bones of a mammoth and mastodon, excavated by local residents. The exposition also widely presents photographs and things of the princes Lubomirsky, the former owners of these lands, household items of peasants and artisans, Roman amulets, items of ammunition, French and Tsarist times, attributes of Cossack life. One of the expositions is dedicated to the famous fellow Ukrainian poet-humorist and satirist Stepan Oleinik. There is an interesting collection of paintings by local artists.
