Ivankov is a village in the Vyshgorod district of the Kyiv region, the former regional center of the Ivankov district, located on the left side of the Teterev River, 80 kilometers north of the city of Kyiv. The distance to the nearest railway station (Teterov) is 40 kilometers, to the Boryspil international airport - 130 kilometers. The area of the district is 361,600 hectares. In ancient times, Ivankov was called Trudinovskaya Land. Trudinova passed from one owner to another. In 1589, these lands began to be called Ivanov’s Place - on behalf of the then owner of the estate, Ivan Proskura. Subsequently, the name Ivankov appeared. Residents of Ivankov took part in the liberation war of the Ukrainian people of 1648-1654. Many of them, as part of the Kyiv regiment, defended the northwestern borders of Ukraine from attacks by the gentry, but after the Truce of Andrusovo in 1667, Ivankov remained with Poland. After the annexation of Right Bank Ukraine to Russia in 1793, Ivankov became a town in Radomyshl district. In 1743, the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in Ivankov.
