                  Title: Voropayiv village. Status: village in Vyshgorodskyi district, center of the village council Location: in 48 km from Vyshgorod Population: 900 people Area: 520 ha Waterways: river Desna Established in: 1655 Historical note: History of the village probably goes back to Kievan Rus', as evidenced by the name of tracts from period of Mongol conquest. In 1672 Hetman Samoylovych gave the Colonel Solonyn Voropayiv in possession, in 1695 it became the property of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. In 1820 became a part of the 8th Cavalry Regiment District of military settlers. In 1931 was organized by the kolkhoz "Red Communard." During the Great Famine of 1932-1933 died about 50 voropayivtsiv. During the Second World War the village was occupied, released in 1943. When leaving the Nazis set fire to the village. In the postwar years, the village began to revive. Since 1979 began operating farm-factory "Pirnivskyy" which produced feed. Local drama club was invited to Kiev Ivan Franko Theater, and its performance was shown on television.
