Status: village in Vyshgorodskyi district Location: in 4 km from village Bogdany Population: 42 people Area: 51 ha Waterways: river Teteryv, Kyiv reservoir Established in: unknown Historical note: According to the legend th name of the village came from the name of the profession of the first settlers, who cut forest. Time of the establishment is unknown, but around Pylyava were detected settlements of people of the Neolithic and Bronze Age. In 1864 there were 168 inhabitants in the village. During the collectivization in Pylyva was established farm "Worker". During WWII across the village was situated the front line. In a mass grave in Pylyava are buried 263 soldiers who died during the liberation of the village. By the mid 80's there was the eight-year school, which was closed because of the small number of students
