Status: village in Vyshgorodskyi district Location: in 7 km from village Khotianivka Population: 210 people Area: 95,4 ha Waterways: Dnipro river,Desna river. Established in: unknown Historical note:One legend says that the name of the village Oseschyna went from a number of poplar (in Ukrainian - "osokor"), which grew up in the territory of the future village. Wood of this tree is very resistant to prolonged stay in water and resistant to wind. For ages in spring Oseschyna was flooded by waters of the rivers Dnieper and Desna. Local residents were forced to bind to the sedge all their things, even buildings. In the village in 1932 there were 130 houses and 500 people lived. Today in Oseschyna are working club, health center, shop.
